Your child has had a local anesthetic for their dental treatment.

* If the procedure was on the top.....the teeth,lip and surrounding tissues will be numb
* If the procedure was on the lower....... the tongue,teeth,lip, and surrounding tissues will be numb

Many children tend ti bite, suck,pinch or play with the numb lip,cheek,or tongue. These activities can cause anywhere from minor to severe trauma to these areas. Please closely monitor your child for up to 2 hours following the appointment. It is suggested to keep your child on a soft diet until the numbness wears off.
